MIAMI – Two 25 year old men have stooped to a new low in criminal activity according to Pompano Beach Police.
The 2 robbers, identified as Oliver Bozeman, 25 and Courtney Edge, 25, victimized a man, who has no arms, and took three hundred dollars cash from his pocket. The victim, Havalah Pitts, was not able to defend himself against the thieves.
The cruel theft took place on October 4th at the 500 block of South Federal Highway in Pompano Beach Florida. Police only managed to apprehend the two suspects on Tuesday. They are currently housed at the Broward County Main Jail awaiting their court date and are accused of theft and abuse of a disabled adult.
“These two men picked a defenseless victim, a man with no arms, and stole the money from his pockets,” Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella said. “It was a vile act, a new low for criminals.”
Pitts had his own run ins with the law however. In 2011 he was arrested for possession of cocaine.
